Associated Black Charities, in partnership with The Afro, Youth Resiliency Institute, and GreenLight Fund, is excited to invite you to a special edition of Community Convos in Cherry Hill. ABC is committed to listening to our communities to ensure our work reflects their real, expressed needs, and this event is a space to do just that.
Community Convos offers an open space for dialogue, collaboration, and collective problem-solving. Residents, organizations, businesses, and stakeholders are invited to come together to share, listen, and connect while building solutions and strengthening community ties.
This session will include a screening of the short documentary Termite: A Baltimore Story, created by WGF Studio in partnership with cinematographer Kirby Griffin. The film tells the story of Baltimore resident and community leader Termite Kin Lane Brown, a lifelong Cherry Hill resident and Muslim American. Termite has lived in Cherry Hill Public Housing for over 50 years and recently purchased land to build her first home. She is a trusted local leader who is often sought out by organizations, public servants, and neighbors for her hands-on leadership and solutions-oriented approach. Termite works to cultivate the culture of love that shaped her community growing up.
Join us for an evening of connection, inspiration, and meaningful dialogue as we celebrate the people, history, and heart of Cherry Hill.
